The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Group

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a wide array of personalities, and a exciting storyline including divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces growing in power within the city.

Note: Spoilers for the latest installment of the new season follow below.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The third episode finished on a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of heroes who will separate from the primary party to begin their separate journey, apart from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table features Teor (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are scarce.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the developments of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a intense initial meeting with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing started the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting Thimble, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, desires revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows the region and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • But, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the group access areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character swore a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now go with him wherever.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The healer betrayed the influential house and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This means them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in quest for Casimir.

What’s Next?

Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight cast members to round up the Seekers and Planners groups.

Fans can look forward to discovering which characters will be where in the season’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on October 24.
